Recently our team at Ventura received a brief to re design a bedroom for two brothers. As always when creating a room for children, we really wanted to ensure that we struck the right balance between much needed storage space and most importantly, enough room for the boys to play in.
Originally in bunk beds, the boys now wanted their own independent sleeping space with the addition of two new double beds and a Sullivan Locker in Aspen Oak in between. Our Sullivan chest of drawers in an Aspen Oak finish was added to the room and features a simple yet classic design with stylish legs and plenty of storage.
At the end of each bed sits a personalised handcrafted toy chest in an Aspen Oak finish. These chests are an excellent solution for additional storage.
Classic colours always work best and carry young children well into their teens in terms of tones. In this room, we went with colours from our Ventura Paint Collection by Fleetwood Prestige. “Lagoon” was used on the walls and “Reef” on the hand painted headboard. These tones compliment the space themed mural wallpaper which we focused on one wall in the bedroom.
Colour pops of burnt orange, extracted from the rockets in the wallpaper, were brought through the room via bespoke scatter cushions as well as patterned fabrics, encompassing all the tones used in the room.
Carpet for the room was supplied by Matt Britton.
Accessories such as wall lights, a rug, circular mirror, and bespoke curtains finish this look entirely.
